Investing in Sustainability

Through strategic investment in conservation and community development, GPTF helps turn resources from Namibia’s wildlife into lasting environmental benefits.

Our Story

GPTF collects revenue from wildlife and wildlife products on state land and reinvests it in wildlife conservation, communal conservation, and rural development programmes.

The Game Products Trust Fund (GPTF) was established under the Game Products Trust Fund Act (Act No. 7 of 1997) to ensure that revenue generated from wildlife products is reinvested in Namibia’s conservation efforts.

The Fund supports wildlife conservation, communal conservation, and community development programmes that promote harmonious coexistence between people and wildlife. Through these initiatives, GPTF contributes to securing a sustainable future for wildlife both within and beyond Namibia’s protected areas.

Our Projects

Protecting Namibia’s Natural Heritage

Our projects support the conservation of Namibia’s wildlife, natural resources, and unique ecosystems. Through sustainable resource management and targeted conservation initiatives, we help protect the country’s natural heritage for generations to come.

We also support community development initiatives that promote sustainable livelihoods and responsible resource use. By working alongside communities and conservation partners, these projects create lasting environmental, social, and economic impact across Namibia.
